Finally, a "top ten" list that actually matters.
Money Under 30 compiled a list of the best cities in America to be young, broke, and single.
How does a city make the list?
The site compared cities using different metrics such as cheap food and drinks in a city, cost of living, unemployment, and number of fellow young singles.
According to the list, Salt Lake City ranked the second-best city to be young, broke, and single.
The website cites the city's mild winters and toasty summer, "a great big briny body of water", and the LGBTQ-friendly environment as some of the main reasons for the ranking.
According to the list, here are the top 10 best cities to be young, broke, and single:
- Austin, TX
- Salt Lake City, UT
- Durham, N.C.
- Columbus, OH
- Baton Rouge, LA
- Omaha, NE
- New Orleans, LA
- Des Moines, IA
- Seattle, WA
- Oklahoma City, OK
